Michael Buttrey has a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Ethics from the University of St. Michael’s College, part of the Toronto School of Theology in the University of Toronto. His research focuses on virtue ethics, biomedical ethics, disability studies, and clergy-perpetuated sexual abuse.
Michael works as Digital Pastor for St. Clement’s Church in Toronto and a Project Officer for the World Council of Churches. In 2022 he and Carolyn Mackie co-founded #ACCtoo, an advocacy group for survivors of sexual violence in the Anglican Church of Canada.
